Nine Ingredients and No Printed Amounts: Why It Matters
The info page lists nine ingredients and the bottle images show no Supplement Facts panel. With no amounts, nobody can compare the dose with a trial, check iodine against the upper limit or judge whether a medicine could clash. The missing numbers are the key finding about the label.

The basics01
What exactly is missing?
Every number a buyer would use. The images show no serving size line, no per-serving amounts, no percent daily values and no list of other ingredients.
What the seller gives instead is a list of nine names, in order, with short benefit lines. Nori, wakame, kelp, bladderwrack, saw palmetto, pomegranate, iodine, shilajit and neem each get a sentence, and none gets a milligram.
The front of the bottle shows an iodine tile with the number 53 and the letter I. That is the periodic table symbol and atomic number for iodine, not an amount.
The evidence02
What each missing number would tell you
| Missing fact | What it would let you do |
|---|---|
| Saw palmetto amount | Compare with the 320 to 960 mg trial doses |
| Iodine amount | Check against the 1,100 microgram upper limit |
| Pomegranate amount | Compare with 8 oz of juice in studies |
| Shilajit amount | Compare with the 500 mg trial dose |
| Allergen statement | Check for shellfish, soy, sulfite or tree-nut traces |
| Other ingredients | See carriers, preservatives and sweeteners |
The numbers03
Why can't you borrow trial results?
Trial results belong to the dose that was tested. The saw palmetto trials used 320 to 960 mg a day and found little or no benefit (Cochrane review, saw palmetto 2023)(Bent et al., NEJM 2006). If the bottle holds a fraction of that, the trials say nothing about it. If it holds the same, they say it probably does little.
Without the number, a seller can point to a trial and a buyer cannot check whether it applies. That asymmetry is what the FTC's evidence standard exists to prevent: claims should rest on studies of the same product, dose and population (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).
The catch04
Why does the missing iodine number matter most?
Because iodine is the one ingredient with a firm upper limit and a known harm above it. Adults should stay under 1,100 micrograms a day, and the ATA advises against supplements giving over 500 micrograms (NIH ODS, Iodine)(ATA, Excess iodine).
The formula holds four seaweeds and iodine, five sources in all. Without a figure, a man with thyroid disease cannot judge the risk, and a healthy man cannot judge how much room is left for his diet.
Safety05
Is it legal to omit amounts?
That is not for us to decide, and the images may not show every part of the carton. Federal rules require a Supplement Facts panel on a supplement label, and the maker is responsible for compliance (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)). The panel might exist on the carton and be missing from the images we hold. That is why we ask the seller for it.
The phrase in our guides is no amounts printed in any image we hold, which is narrower than saying the product has no panel.
What to do06
What a buyer can do
Write to the seller and ask for the panel, the manufacturer and a certificate of analysis. Keep the reply. If a panel arrives, check the amounts against our label guide.
If the reply does not come, decide with the gap in mind. The refund policy gives a 60-day window, which is long enough to ask before the window closes.
FAQ07
Prostadine questions people ask
Why does Prostadine not list amounts?
We do not know. The images we hold show no Supplement Facts panel. The carton may carry one, so ask the seller for it in writing before you decide.
What does the 53 I on the bottle mean?
It is the symbol and atomic number for iodine, shown as a tile on the front. It signals iodine is a feature of the formula, but it is not an amount.
Can I work out the amounts myself?
No. A blend total would give a ceiling for each line, but without that total even the ceiling is unknown. Only the seller can supply the real numbers.
Does a missing panel mean the product is unsafe?
No. It means safety cannot be checked from the documents. The risk is greatest for people with thyroid disease or on medicines, who should ask a clinician first.
