The routine01
Four steps, from the info page
Scroll through them. The drawing on the left follows the step you are reading.
- 01
Shake the bottle
The info page says to shake the bottle well first, so the ingredients mix. Check the tamper seal on a new bottle.
- 02
Fill the dropper twice
Two full droppers make 2 ml, the daily amount on the info page. Squeeze the bulb, release, and check the level against the glass.
- 03
Once a day, morning
The info page prefers the morning. Take it straight, or stir it into tea, coffee, juice or another drink you like.
- 04
Check in at week 6
Refunds close 60 days after purchase. Around week 6, decide with your doctor whether to keep going or ask for your money back.
The dose02
What 2 mL means, and how to measure it
The info page says: “We recommend you take two full droppers (2 ml) per day, preferably in the morning.” A full dropper is 1 mL, so two droppers make the daily amount.
Fill the dropper to its top line, not a part of the way. A half-filled dropper twice a day is 1 mL, half the stated amount, which changes the arithmetic on how long the bottle lasts and on the iodine you take in. If your dropper has a marked scale, use it. If it has none, check the quantity against a small oral syringe, which a pharmacist can supply for little.
Sixty millilitres at 2 mL a day gives 30 servings. That is the number to use when planning how many bottles to buy, and it is the figure behind the pricing table. If you take less, a bottle lasts longer and the cost per day falls. Taking more than the stated amount is never a good way to speed up anything, and with a formula that adds iodine from five directions it can push the total toward the upper limit of 1,100 mcg a day (NIH ODS, Iodine).

Timing and mixing03
Morning, with or without a drink
The info page prefers the morning and says you can take the drops straight or in tea, coffee, juice or another drink. There is no study of when the best time is for this formula, so treat the morning as a habit anchor. Tie it to something you already do, such as the first coffee, and the daily routine tends to stick.
If you mix it into a drink, finish the whole drink, so you take the full dose. If you have heartburn, take the drops with food or a drink instead of on an empty stomach, and note that one of the ingredients, saw palmetto, can cause stomach upset in some people (NCCIH, Saw Palmetto).
- Morning: two droppers
The info page prefers the morning, taken straight or stirred into a drink. It is the only time of day it names.
- Evening: ease off drinks
NIDDK suggests limiting drinks before bed and before outings, which may mean fewer trips to the bathroom.
- Caffeine and alcohol
NIDDK lists cutting back on both as a self-care step for urinary frequency; both can make the bladder more active.
- Night, 7 to 9 hours
Waking more than twice a night to urinate is worth telling a doctor about; it has many causes besides the prostate.
Self-care steps from NIDDK (NIDDK, Enlarged Prostate (BPH)) and the Urology Care Foundation (Urology Care Foundation, BPH). The info page names only the morning for the drops; the other arcs are habits a doctor may suggest. Follow your clinician.
A multivitamin, a kelp tablet or an iodized-salt-heavy diet all add iodine. If you take several, add them up with your pharmacist.

Missed days, travel and storage
The info page gives no missed-day rule, and no label image shows storage advice. These are sensible defaults, not instructions from the maker.
- Missed a day. Take the usual 2 mL the next morning. Do not double up, because of the iodine.
- Travel. Keep the bottle upright in a bag, away from heat. Amber glass blocks light but not heat.
- Storage. Keep it closed, cool and dry and out of children's reach. No storage line is printed in the images we have.
- After opening. No shelf life after opening is given in the images. Ask the seller, and discard it if the smell or look changes.
- Dropper hygiene. Do not touch the dropper tip to your mouth and then return it to the bottle, which could introduce germs.
Before you start05
Who should speak to a clinician before the first dose
The info page advises anyone with a medical condition or on prescription medication to show a bottle to their doctor first, and we agree. In particular, ask first if any of the following applies.
- You have a thyroid condition or take thyroid medicine (NIH ODS, Iodine).
- You take a blood thinner, aspirin or regular anti-inflammatory pain relievers, because saw palmetto may add to bruising and bleeding risk (MSK, Saw Palmetto).
- You take a prostate medicine such as tamsulosin or finasteride. Keep taking it as prescribed (MedlinePlus, Tamsulosin) (MedlinePlus, Finasteride).
- You are pregnant, nursing, or buying for someone under 18.
- You have blood in your urine, difficulty passing urine or painful urination with fever. These need care right away, not drops (NIDDK, Enlarged Prostate (BPH)).
The five-question checklist on the who it's for page flags these situations for you.
- Enlarged Prostate (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIH), 2024.BPH is a benign enlargement; it affects 5% to 6% of men ages 40 to 64 and 29% to 33% of those 65 and older. Scientists do not fully know why it occurs; aging and hormone changes are suspected. Researchers have not linked diet or nutrition to causing or preventing BPH. Symptoms include trouble starting a stream, weak or interrupted stream, nighttime urination and urgency, and symptom severity does not always match prostate size. Seek care right away if you cannot urinate at all, have painful urgent urination with fever and chills, see blood in the urine, or have significant lower abdominal or urinary tract pain. Treatments: watchful waiting, alpha blockers, 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, procedures and surgery. The page does not mention supplements.
- Saw Palmetto. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Integrative Medicine, 2023.Reports conflicting data on BPH symptoms (some trials improved, others showed no effect). Did not affect serum PSA more than placebo, even at high doses. Common side effects are stomach upset, diarrhea, fatigue, headache, decreased libido and rhinitis. Case reports include bleeding problems (including with rivaroxaban and during surgery), liver damage and pancreatitis. May increase bruising and bleeding risk with anticoagulants, antiplatelets and NSAIDs.
- Iodine: Fact Sheet for Health Professionals. NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, 2024.RDA for adults is 150 mcg a day; the tolerable upper intake level is 1,100 mcg a day. Dried nori, 2 tablespoons of flakes (5 g): 116 mcg. Seaweeds range from 16 to 2,984 mcg per gram. High intakes can cause goiter, elevated TSH and hypothyroidism, and iodine-induced hyperthyroidism and thyroiditis. Interactions: antithyroid drugs (additive effect, hypothyroidism), and potassium iodide with ACE inhibitors or potassium-sparing diuretics (hyperkalemia risk).
